OZEN LIFE MAADHOO utilises all the available roof space at the colleagues’ island for solar panes that harness the abundant tropical sunshine. The resort also uses offshore SolarSea platforms to increase solar energy production. The 523kWp solar energy system is installed by SwimSol, the leading solar energy company in the Maldives.
The solar energy generation system works in a hybrid model with the diesel powerhouse of the island. And, this significantly reduces the diesel consumption of combustion generators. By using cleaner solar power, the resort has been able to save energy and greatly reduce its environmental impact.
