    Water Reclamation

We reduce water usage by conserving and recycling water through efficient reclamation practices. Our sewage treatment plant efficiently treats wastewater to create nutrient-rich irrigation water. This is used for nourishing our flora around the island, reducing our reliance on chemical fertilisers.

    Sustainable Operations

We use clean and renewable solar energy over diesel fuel. Our resort utilises waste heat to heat water, thus reducing our carbon footprint by 275 tons of CO2 emissions. There’s a kitchen garden where we practice 100% organic farming, ensuring zero food miles from garden to plate. Moreover, we select safe, green products like biodegradable laundry detergents.

    In-House Water Bottling

We produce water onsite using reverse osmosis, served in reusable glass bottles which saves 80,000 plastic bottles yearly. By not flying in any imported bottled water to the island, we reduce our carbon emissions, while offering our guests a sustainable yet comfortable experience.

    Coral Conservation

Beneath the waves, a resident marine biologist tends to Bolifushi's vibrant coral reef, nurturing underwater gardens to revitalise bleached corals. Besides their conservation efforts, they educate and engage guests through snorkelling tours, offering a deeper appreciation for the island's marine wonders.
